Johnny Moss was the winner and was named as the World Champion of Poker. For his prize, he got a silver cup.
From the seventies, there are many more additions to the tournaments in the World Series of Poker. Many other names of poker players were added to the World Series of Poker Champions. Other poker variations were also added. Celebrities also joined the World Series of Poker in the 90's. With this popularity, the numbers of poker players that join the World Series of Poker continue to increase every year.
