Identifying Loose and Tight Poker Tables

As you begin to play online Poker, be sure to try out as many different tables as you can. The reason is that the type of Poker table that you are on will be highly instrumental in determining how much money goes into the pot, and hence, how much you can potentially win.

There will be many types of Poker tables, but as you will soon realize, they can be categorized into two groups: the loose and tight ones. The loose tables means there will be more money in the pot, whereas in the tight ones the amount will be much smaller.

Of course, it goes without saying that the loose tables are where you will want to play. Not only is there more money, but tight Poker tables are frequently home to the better players (because tight is how the game should be played). Not only will you win less money, but in most cases, especially if you are new, you probably will not win much at all.

Whether you are playing online or in a casino, there are several ways that you can determine if a Poker table is loose. The most obvious way is to check how many players go into the flop. If there are four or five, then that can be considered "normal", not too tight or loose.

If there are less than four, then that is a tight Poker table. If there are more than 5 in, then that can be taken as a sign that it is loose. In some online tables everyone gets into the flop, which obviously is the type of hand you want to get into.

When you get in loose Poker tables, you should come in with a Poker strategy that will allow you to be more flexible with your hands. In this environment wherein everyone plays with lots of hands, then you should try to do the same. However, do not get careless, and try to play with some control as well.

When you have good hands, then try to get as much money out of it as you can. Chances are good that they will call your raises, so you can stretch it out. However, avoid bluffing in this environment, as it will not get you anywhere.

Loose Poker tables are everywhere in online Poker, and you should take advantage of them. Learn their characteristics, and you will find your bank roll increasing rapidly.
